Each local authority area should ensure there is a range of housing options with appropriate levels of support available for people with mental health problems by December 2005. They should work in tandem with Registered Social Landlords (RSLS) – Housing Association – and the private rented sector to fulfil this aim. [key action 9 paragraph 15.1] Is supported housing effective? What evidence is available regarding tiered levels of support? What are service users perspectives on supported housing?
